CommitChange has grown a lot over the last five years and now encompasses website donation forms, crowdfunding campaigns, peer-to-peer fundraisers, event ticketing and management, an expanding donor database, and even a developer API.
The biggest news is that we’re going to securely open source the CommitChange platform, making our core technology available to the general public; we’re doing this in order to accelerate the development of tools and services for nonprofits, and to help improve the overall quality of fundraising infrastructure.
Rates will be changing for new accounts; their pricing will be a flat 6% transaction fee.
If you are an existing customer on a subscription plan, you will be grandfathered into your current subscription plus a heavily discounted 1.8% platform fee increase.
Proceeds from the platform fee will be used to speed up the development of new features, which will ultimately improve your fundraising capacities. These new features will also be released as open source software, maximizing the potential social impact. No additional action will be required on your part and service will continue normally.
