In honor of the Day of the Girl on October 11, 2017, we are looking for new Sustainers of Action at $20 a month to help provide one-year's-worth of opportunity for children ages three to five to recover from trauma, develop through play, and become thriving and contributing members of their communities.

It only takes $20 a month to support one Little Ripples student at a Pond in eastern Chad. This includes: their daily meal six days a week; salaries for the two cooks who source and prepare this meal; all indoor and outdoor classroom materials; essential health and hygiene supplies; and two teacher salaries. One year of 45 Sustainers of Action at $20 a month funds an entire Pond.

Winner of the 2016 WISE Awards for Innovation in Education and a 2017 Promising Practices in Refugee Education case study, iACT's Little Ripples early childhood development program is a refugee-led, culturally-relevant, and cost-effective early childhood development program that builds the capacity of refugee women and improves the early development of refugee children ages three to five. iACT works directly with refugee beneficiaries to establish, adapt, and implement Little Ripples—laying the foundation for a lifetime of well-being, learning, health, and peace for children affected by displacement and violence.

The program is now serving refugees and displaced communities in eastern Chad and the Central African Republic. In the coming months, iACT will be conducting a needs assessment in Greece in partnership with the Refugee Trauma Initiative, and expanding to two more Darfuri refugee camps in eastern Chad in partnership with Jesuit Refugee Service and the Humanitarian Innovation Fund.

Celebrate and support iACT's impact by becoming a Sustainer of Action in honor the Day of the Girl.
