This is our annual fall fundraising campaign where the SF Bay Area community has the opportunity to participate in "Families Helping Families." Your family donates and sponsors the families of Raphael House so that our mission and success can continue, and together we can support struggling parents and children break their cycle of poverty and homelessness. The campaign goal is $60,000 and finishes on November 4th, when we celebrate our fundraising success with our families at Pa'ina Restaurant in Japantown! There will be activities and acrobats for kids, delicious food and treats, excellent coffee, music, magicians, face painting, and more!
Raphael House is a an exceptional homeless shelter for Bay Area families, with 31 private rooms located in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco. For over 45 years, we have been at the forefront of providing solutions to parents and children to help break the cycle of homelessness and poverty. We provide a clean, safe shelter with individual family rooms, nutritious meals every day, personalized case management for career development and housing placement, tutoring and art therapy programs for children, mental health care, health education, and a big-picture comprehensive plan for families to successfully become and remain stable with their housing and finances. Our success rate in unmatched - two years after graduating from Raphael House, 85% of our families still maintain sustainable housing and jobs, and 90% of their children have improved academic performance.
