This Giving Tuesday, I am helping raise $300 for Raphael House, a 100% community-funded family homeless shelter in San Francisco. Your donation helps parents and children at Raphael House achieve stable housing and financial independence.
I spent the past year volunteering every Thursday evening at Raphael House with the children during Toddler Time. Even after a long work week, I always left my volunteer shift with a smile on my face.
The impact Raphael House had on me is not easily put into words. This cause is something that I believe in and I ask you to consider donating to Raphael House this Giving Tuesday. I firsthand have seen the positive impact Raphael House has on the lives of the parents and children who stay there. Your donation will contribute to bringing more families off the streets and into permanent housing.
Raphael House's supportive services go beyond a safe, private room to sleep at night. They provide families with daily nutritious meals, housing search assistance, wellness and career development coaching, children's tutoring, financial literacy training, and more.
Last year, 86% of families in Raphael House's Residential Shelter Program found long-term, stable housing. In their post-shelter Bridge Program, 94% of families were able to maintain their housing and financial stability.
