This Giving Tuesday, Riley and I are helping raise $400 for Raphael House, a 100% community-funded family homeless shelter in San Francisco. Your donation helps parents and children at Raphael House achieve stable housing and financial independence.
Riley and I have been tutoring at Raphael House’s Saturday Teen Tutoring Club for almost a year now, and the resilience and work ethic of these kids continues to impress and inspire me. Not only have these kids overcome adversity that I couldn’t have comprehended at their age, but they also have the drive to give up ALL THEIR SATURDAYS to come in to Tutoring Club to learn and improve.
These kids are awesome, and Raphael House has been a massive positive force in their lives. If you can, please consider donating and helping out this beautiful and effective organization. The kids will appreciate it.
Raphael House's supportive services go beyond a safe, private room to sleep at night. They provide families with daily nutritious meals, housing search assistance, wellness and career development coaching, children's tutoring, financial literacy training, and more.
Last year, 86% of families in Raphael House's Residential Shelter Program found long-term, stable housing. In their post-shelter Bridge Program, 94% of families were able to maintain their housing and financial stability.
