The Bairo Pite Clinic has HUGE news. The financial struggles that have threatened the closure of the BPC have now ended. Dr. Dan informed me that the Clinic is now set to be included on the government health budget. WE COULD NOT HAVE SAVED THE CLINIC WITHOUT YOUR HELP! In addition, former president of Timor Leste, Xanana Gusmao, donated about 50K to support the clinic until government funds start supporting the clinic. This was a team effort from generous souls from Timor and beyond. I just want to say thank you on behalf of Dr. Dan and his awesome BPC Team!!!!!!!!
This fundraising campaign was designed to help save the BPC, so for this reason, we believe it is most transparent to end the current campaign as our original fundraising goal has been met. If you would like to continue your monthly donation to support the BPC, we would encourage you to make donations through the San Carlos Foundation's Network for Good page. Also, under your donation designation, please be sure to type in Bairo Pite Clinic, so that your funds will be directed to the Bairo Pite Clinic. There are less fees associated with donations processed through Network for Good. I will start the process of sending tax-donation letters soon and should be finished by December.
