Services & Impact

We manage a growing forest preserve in Waikoloa Village and are dedicated to restoring the lowland dry forest particular to this region. The preserve is home to several endemic and indigenous plant species, including iconic trees such as

the wiliwili and the uhiuhi. After many years of degradation, the remaining lowland dry forests of Hawai‘i are only remnants of the thriving, diverse ecosystems of the past. Our goal is to bring the dryland forest of Waikoloa back to life through natural resource conservation, restoration, community education and participation.
