Marigny Opera House Annual Appeal 2021

Let's open the doors again this year!

For the past 10 years the Marigny Opera House has produced and presented hundreds of New Orleans-based artists, including dancers, singers, musicians and actors. It's also been the home of the Marigny Opera Ballet, as well as the summer home of the Tennessee Williams Theatre Company.

On March 17th, 2020, we had to shut our doors because of the pandemic.

Let's open them up again.

In the past year we've done what we could to survive as a major arts institution in New Orleans. We produced a dance film, In D Minor, for the Marigny Opera Ballet. We presented the glorius Polymnia Quartet in an outdoor concert. And we welcomed the community into the Opera House for free COVID-19 testing.

This fall we expect to take up where we left off. Before the pandemic we presented an average of 2.5 performances a week, almost all donation-based. Our goal is to surpass that.

Please help us make this possible.

By donating this month, during our Annual Appeal, you'll be helping hundreds of local artists. And you'll be helping New Orleans come back to life after a dark and diifficult time.

Thank you for your support in the past, and thank you for helping us again now.
