Services & Impact

Founded in 2000, the Waldorf School of New Orleans is an independent school that provides a developmentally appropriate, experiential approach to education. We provide classes for children from nursery school and preschool through 8th grade, including before- and afterschool care and a parent/child playgroup for ages 1 to 3.

At the Waldorf School of New Orleans, our arts-based curriculum is integrated with rigorous academics and practical skills. Students fully engage the head, heart, and hands in exploring and learning.

Waldorf Education encourages collaboration and self-confidence, cultivating creative, capable, and independent thinkers and achievers who strive to make a positive difference in the world.

The Waldorf School of New Orleans welcomes, values, and supports racial, religious, economic, and cultural diversity, including single, dual, or multiple parent households and LGBT parents, faculty, and/or students. We seek a diverse faculty and student body and are committed to having our school community reflect the abundant diversity of New Orleans. We believe that diversity is vital to our students and our school.
