Cycling for SOIL

I'm biking across the USA to raise awareness and support for SOIL Haiti - look for me out on the road!

Keep up with John by reading regular updates and enjoying video of his adventures on the road!

Extreme weather and small injuries permitting, I'll be cycling from LA to NYC this summer to raise awareness and support for SOIL. I'll be departing Santa Monica Boulevard on 23rd July and arriving Manhattan 24th August. My route will take me past Monument valley (famous for Forest Gump), St Louis, Chicago (both Famous for music) and West Hickory (...famous for nothing, but sounds like it should be). I'll be posting videos and occasional blog posts to share adventures, scrapes, tales, and any interesting bits of tarmac I'll be staring at along the way. I've had a look at the route from Google Earth (check it out below) and luckily someone's put a yellow line in the middle of the road I'll be taking so shouldn't get lost.

I'm hoping to raise a bit of money to help with the great work SOIL does, and also to raise awareness during their 10th Anniversary summer. Please help me spread the word by telling someone else about the fantastic work that is being done in Haiti! Any donation, however small, will make a huge difference to these folks.

Detailed Route will be  LA - La Canada, CA - Hesperia, CA - Ludlow, CA - Needles, CA - Blake Ranch RV Park, AZ - Williams, AZ - Cameron, AZ - Tsegi, AZ - Bluff, UT - Mesa Verde RV Park, CO - Pagosa Springs, CO - Fort Garland, CO - La Junta, CO - Syracuse, KS - Dodge, KS - Lyons, KS - Emporia, KS - Harrisonville, MO - Jefferson, MO - St Louis, MO - Springfield, IL - Pontiac, IL - Chicago, IL - Middlebury, IN - Toledo, OH - Cleveland, OH - West Hickory, PA - Galeton, PA - Scranton, PA - NYC

Any one in the neighbourhood is well welcome to come along!
