2018 Storybook Gala

Building Bridges

2018 Storybook Gala: Building Bridges logo

About this event:

We feel 2018 will be a vital time to engender empathy and understanding in our next generations—and we know of no better way than through books.

This year's theme celebrates the power of children's books to connect; to create pathways to imagination and success; to build bridges to grow compassion at a young age.

On April 12th, be the one to create a bridge to new opportunities for Bay Area children. Funds raised at this event (which includes a silent auction!) will be used to support Tandem's school-to-home book-sharing program, StoryCycles, as well as our professional development training opportunities for educators, and family workshops. These programs provide communities, educators, and families with the books and resources they need to support every child to develop a lifelong love of books and learning that leads to future academic and life success.

Because all children deserve to start school ready.
Because books are just the beginning.

Because you have the power to build a bridge to

quality early learning experiences.

This event will feature 17 special guests. One award-winning children's author or illustrator will be seated at each table, so you can learn more about how children's books and quality early learning experiences have the power to change lives.

See full details for our event, including a list of our featured authors and illustrators (updated regularly!) at http://www.tandembayarea.org/2018-storybook-gala/.

Tickets include an open bar, three-course meal,
silent auction entry, and prizes.
