#FeelsLikeHome on #GivingTuesday

Because our vulnerable neighbors deserve the feeling of home.

Many low-income, elderly homeowners in the Peninsula community are at risk of displacement or significant health and safety issues due to improper living conditions in their homes. You can turn that risk into life-long healthy living environments for our vulnerable neighbors with a gift to Rebuilding Together Peninsula this Giving Tuesday. Imagine being unable to support your elderly relatives to stay safe and healthy in their homes. No one should have to choose between their health and safety and their home. Join us to provide a safe and healthy home for every person this holiday season.

Make sure it #feelslikehome for our vulnerable community members by giving to Rebuilding Together Peninsula on #GivingTuesday, November 29. Our homeowners are people like Robert and Rose Marie, an elderly couple in San Bruno. They've lived in the Bay Area since 1963, serving the community as schoolteachers their whole lives, and raising their daughters here.  Their living room windows were improperly installed in 2012, and Rose Marie developed lung disease from the mold growing on their windowsill. Her doctor told her that she might have to move out of their house to stay alive. Instead, they saw an ad in the local paper for RTP and applied for repairs. RTP replaced and re-sealed the windows, resolving Rose Marie's lung issues and allowing Robert and Rose Marie to live safely in their home for years to come.

"Thank you to everybody. We really appreciate the attitude of everyone who worked on the house." - Rose Marie

Their story is just one of the 200 projects RTP completes each year, bringing volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners. Join us to ensure that more families and neighbors in need are able to say their house #feelslikehome this holiday season.
