Appetite for Art 2017

Join Upturn Arts at the 5th Annual Appetite for Art dinner on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 6:00-9:30pm to raise funds for the organizations' mission to provide "Arts for All!" to children in the New Orleans community. This event is presented by the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust.

The evening kicks off at 6:00pm for Patron Ticket holders at Dryades Public Market (1307 OC Haley Blvd.) with honeysuckle champagne cocktails from Cathead Vodka and passed hors d'oveures, provided by the Market. Doors open at 7:00pm for all other ticket holders with small bites, champagne, and a cash bar. Guests will enjoy a live performance by Upturn Arts' Youth Percussion Ensemble accompanied by Boyanna Trayanova.

At 7:30pm, guests will second line with the Red Hot Brass Band, lead by Dancing Man 504, to Toups South (1504 OC Haley Blvd.) for a four-course meal, with wine pairings and a cash bar. Each course will be provided by local restaurants including Atchafalaya, Boucherie, La Riviere Confiserie, Le Citron Bistro, and Toups South. Breads provided by Maple Street Patisserie. Wines provided by Artisan Fine Wines and International Wine and Spirits, and coffee from French Truck Coffee. During dinner, live music will be performed by Blato Zlato, New Orleans only Balkan band.

At 8:30, a live auction with auctioneer, John Calhoun, will take place to help raise the additional $7,000 for the complete $25,000 match from Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust. Some auctions items include:

• Signed Michalopolous painting
• Autographed Saints package
• one-of-a-kind New Orleans experiences

• Single ($150) - admission for one (1) to the dinner 
• Couple ($275) - admission for two (2) to the dinner*
• Patron Couple ($350) - admission for two (2) to the Patron Party and the dinner
• Patron Table ($1,750) - admission for ten (10) to the Patron Party and the dinner

*Every couple ticket sold sponsors one Young Artist to attend an entire week of camp.
