FISH Food Banks of Pierce County

Providing nutritious food with compassion, dignity and respect.

Services & Impact

FISH Food Banks nourish hope. FISH clients have shared that when they receive nutritious food, it “gives hope for a better, brighter future.”

FISH Food Banks support families. Did you know one-third of FISH clients are children ages 0 – 18? Imagine not having enough to feed your family. What would you do?

FISH Food Banks is about creating community. Clients, volunteers and staff connect and support each other, sharing recipes, ideas, stories, joys and heartaches. At FISH, there is camaraderie and encouragement that includes far more than food.

All of this is made possible by the remarkable generosity of supporters like you. You help FISH distribute nutritious food to up to 50,000 people each month.

FISH Food Banks is the oldest and largest food bank network in Pierce County, with locations in Edgewood, Graham/South Hill, Lakewood, Northeast Tacoma, North Tacoma, Southeast Tacoma and West Tacoma. FISH’s innovative Mobile Food Bank, a semi-truck turned food bank on wheels, visits nine unique locations each week, including schools and community centers.

For every $1 donated, FISH can distribute more than $9 worth of nutritious food to families in need!

Thank you for supporting a healthy community and caring about your neighbors. We are grateful for you!
