The Aviation Lounge: If you build it, they will drink!

The pilot program for our mini-bar experience, a first-class happy hour destination.

The Aviation Lounge

Last year you helped us build our Culinarium…a beautiful canvas for us to transform creating different worlds for Seattle to walk into, filled with music, stories, food, and drink.   This spring we are asking you for a gift of only $200 to create a permanent storefront bar that will change theme and style with each production. A 1930s speakeasy for Sauced! A Midwestern tapas bar in Kansas! A Sci-Fi Western saloon for Smoked!  But first, this April, the Aviation Lounge will pair with our 1960’s in flight spy spoof, To Savor Tomorrow.

  • The Aviation Lounge will be open to the public, share our vision with even more Seattleites, entice them in to the complete Nordo experience, and increase our accessibility for our neighbors.
  • The Aviation Lounge will provide a much-welcomed additional revenue stream introducing Nordo’s Culinarium to more outside artists and their innovative ideas
  • The Aviation Lounge will introduce a permanent new storefront to Pioneer Square and increase our visibility in the community.

This April, one year after we opened the doors of the Culinarium, we are revisiting the show that put us on the map, To Savor Tomorrow, the crowd favorite set on a 1962 Boeing Stratacruiser hurtling towards Seattle with a crew of international spies.  Our brick box theater will be unrecognizable, and we plan to add to our immersive experience by opening The Aviation Lounge for the duration of the run.

The Aviation Lounge will be open for business before shows and on off-nights. A modern bar menu with craft cocktails and food inspired by the 1960’s, the bar will mirror the experience of To Savor Tomorrow, without the element of international intrigue, of course.

We are asking you, our frequent flyers, to help us build this incredibly ambitious set complete with this beautiful bar, and become our regulars! We need to raise $10,000 by April 1 to put this plan into action.  That’s 50 of you giving $200.  Or 10 of you giving $1000.  As always, this is an entirely tax deductible contribution.  But what frequent flyer club would be without its perks?

$200 – Membership to our Executive Club which includes an invitation to an exclusive private party in the Aviation Lounge and your first cocktail free

$1000 – Membership to the Platinum Club which includes an invitation to an exclusive private party in the Aviation Lounge, 2 tickets to the Opening Night of To Savor Tomorrow, and your first cocktail free

$5000 – Membership to the Mile High Club – Two tickets to the Opening Night of To Savor Tomorrow, invitation to the private party in The Aviation Lounge, a brick on our Salt Brick Donor Wall, and free cocktails for the run of To Savor Tomorrow.
