This Giving Tuesday, The Brothers are helping raise $1,000 for Raphael House, a 100% community-funded family homeless shelter in San Francisco. Your donation helps parents and children at Raphael House achieve stable housing and financial independence.
At the Brothers Organization, we continuously aim to give back to our community by partnering with numerous organizations, including Raphael House. After visiting their family shelter in San Francisco, we were amazed by their solidarity and great vision to support the many homeless families that require comprehensive shelter and job placement assistance.
When we visited their location we volunteered in serving food to numerous families. This helped us connect with them and learn about the positive impact Raphael House has had in their lives, including afternoon class sessions for children, career development support for adults, and sheltering support for families that are unable to keep up with the steep housing prices of our city.
Last year, 86% of families in Raphael House's Residential Shelter Program found long-term, stable housing. In their post-shelter Bridge Program, 94% of families were able to maintain their housing and financial stability.
We were really impressed with the personal growth families have experienced through Raphael House, because of this reason we are supporting their fundraising campaign this Giving Tuesday (December 3!). We are aiming to raise through our network of friends $1000 for this cause so that this incredible organization keeps on helping those who need it the most.
