In 2016, Mercy House challenged itself to permanently house 900 homeless individuals. With the success of everyone involved, Mercy House was able to overshoot the goal and permanently house 1,422 homeless individuals. This year, the goal has been set to permanently house 1,200 individuals and we are working dilligently to reach our goal!
With those 1,200 clients, Mercy House strives to provide valuable tools, resources, and case managers to guide the client on a path to end homelessness.
One of the many tools Mercy House offers our clients are bus passes.
Every day, homeless men, women and children are forced to commute in hopes of finding a place to call home. Mothers walk their children to school in the rain. Veterans travel to apply for benefits and receive care. Fathers trek the streets in hopes of finding a job to change their family’s fortune. Paying for bus fares can often tax our client’s resources and limit their ability to reach their goals. By donating to Fare Share, we together, can help our clients achieve their goal.
