Help Jericho Finish Well

Fiscal Year-End Appeal is Underway!

HELP US REACH OUR ONLINE GOAL OF $5,000! EVERY DOLLAR HAS AN IMPACT!

Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

As we approach the end of another fiscal year at the Jericho Partnership, we’re reaching out today to ask you to prayerfully consider giving a year-end financial gift to support life-transformation through our ministry.  We are blessed to have an offer from a generous donor who is willing to match every gift, up to $100,000! “Let us not grow weary of doing good,” because if you could see what we see…

…You’d see John (not his real name), who was pulled from the grip of alcohol addiction and survived near-death to begin walking the long road of recovery. During his time at our Good Samaritan Mission, his body has strengthened, his faith has blossomed, and he has re-established a relationship with his 19-year-old daughter.  A life being transformed.

…You’d see Abby (not her real name), a pregnant teen agonizing over whether she should have her baby. After getting an ultrasound and counseling at our Hopeline Pregnancy Resource Center, she chose life, and then received follow-up care and mentoring through YoungLives. Even more, she has attended YoungLives Camp and is growing deeper in her walk with the Lord. Partnership churches and Samaritan Health Center stand ready to lock arms with Abby, providing spiritual and health care for her child. A life being transformed.

…You’d see 125 kids - all of whom, for a variety of circumstances, are at risk - enjoying our summer camps, learning, communicating and growing in their faith, with the ultimate goal of ensuring they succeed in school. Lives being transformed.

…You’d see 16 Pathways Danbury Youth Ministries students – dressed formally in navy suits – on stage at Ives Concert Hall, with the community gathered to celebrate them as they graduate high school. You’d see the collective joy as they received life-changing grants and much-deserved accolades for finishing our mentoring program and high school – and finishing well, even when their circumstances indicated their stories might have had very different endings. We are thankful to walk alongside them and prayerful as they move on to college. Lives being transformed.

This is the power of God working in peoples’ lives through the Jericho Partnership. This is our mission, declared in a single word: TRANSFORMATION. We have been called by God to partner with others so that lives, neighborhoods and the city of Danbury will be transformed for the glory of God and the common good of its people.

And that is why this scripture verse at the top of this letter, Paul’s words to the Galatians, have grabbed hold of my heart this year. We will not grow weary of doing good! As we near the end of our fiscal year on August 31, I am moved by the notion to finish well, so that we can reap what God has helped us sow. We will not give up on His call to be part of transforming the lives of those most in need in our city.  Indeed, how we finish our current assignment may well determine our next.

So today we thank you for partnering with us as we have served more than 4,000 individuals this year, and invite you to help us finish well.  All gifts will be matched if given/postmarked by August 31, 2017, up to $100,000.  This is an incredible blessing, and a great opportunity to double the impact of your year-end giving! Please consider making a year-end financial gift to help us reach our budgeted goals.

Your gifts will be used to support Jericho’s ministries and enable the life-transformational stories like the ones you’ve just read.  We consider it a privilege to partner with you in this incredible journey.

With Every Blessing,

Carrie L. Amos

President
