Saturday October 21, 2017 Packing Party

Many are asking what they can to help those that have lost their dignity through Hurricanes Irma and Harvey. We have an opportunity for you to help. 

Imagine what it must be like to pack the bare essentials as you evacuate to a shelter but then, finding out when the storm has passed that your house has been heavily damaged by wind or water. Imagine that your house isn't safe or healthy for your return. Imagine what it is like to not even have a clean toothbrush. Imagine the thoughts that go through a child's mind as she tries to entertain herself in a shelter or FEMA hotel. These are just a few examples of the loss of dignity created by a natural disaster. We don't often have such a great opportunity to show love to those that are hurting. But the opportunity is now! We have Hygiene products in our Love Missions Operations Center (Downtown Sanford) and we need your help in packing Hygiene bags for delivery. This will be an opportunity for the community to come together in support of their neighbors and to have a good time as we serve. Bring your children and teach them how Americans lift each other up in times of need. (there will be a play area for younger kids.) We need you.....victims need you....Will you respond?
