Edison PTO’s fundraising goal is $100,000 for the 2015-16 school year. We successfully raised half at Track-a-Thon and in the spring we’ll raise the final $50,000.
The days of fundraising for “extras” are over – we have to be ready to help cover whatever CPS cuts. While no one knows what next year’s school budget will look like, we anticipate the same cuts — or worse — that we experienced this year. Our goal is to be in a position to help, no matter what comes our way.
With a goal of 100% participation, we simplified the Bright Night event and are introducing Together We Shine, a check writing campaign that will give all families the opportunity to support Edison this spring.
By attending the Bright Night event, you will enjoy a fun evening, open bar, light dinner and bidding on teacher parties, parent parties and class projects. In the effort to simplify and direct efforts where they are most needed, we have eliminated any auction items that are not “Edison Made." To buy tickets to Bright Night, click here!
Those unable to attend can still participate by contributing to the Together We Shine check writing campaign, a direct appeal to the Edison community. We encourage you to take advantage of employee matching programs and your network of friends and family.

Contributions can also be made by check and can be dropped in the PTO mailbox or given to teachers.
Whether you join us at Bright Night, make a donation, or do both, we are asking that all Edison families give what they can to support our school and ensure that Edison continues to provide the high quality education that we all want for our kids. While we recognize the ability to give is different for every family, we ask you to consider contributing $200 per student, if possible.
Together We Shine runs from now until May 27, a week after the Bright Night event. Whether it’s $1 or $1,000, please consider coming together to support our school!
