THE ASYLUM

Come in character and lose yourself in a 1950s-era artist-interpreted ward for the insane. 

THE ASYLUM is an immersive, participatory experience in which  “ patients , ” or ticketed guests, will be checked into The Walls Project Art & Design Center and are free to roam about the space, enjoy beverages and food, interact with performers, and purchase original works of art for donation .  

THE ASYLUM is an original performance aimed to raise money for operational costs and diverse programming at the Walls Project Art & Design Center. It is the latest example of Elevator Projects' innovative approach to program contemporary projects that provide local artists a public performance space, which is now available for private rentals in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge.
