Burns and trauma are the leading cause of lost productive life hours across the planet. 95% of all burn injuries happen in developing countries, with South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka) at the epicenter. Nearly 1/3 of all burn injuries and deaths globally happen to women and children in South Asia, with lack of adequate medical care and rehabilitation leading to millions of needless deaths and disabilities.
Help HandReach turn the tide! We are in the process of working to staff and equip a state-of-the-art burn and trauma center in South Asia that will be available to the poor without cost.
