2017 American Documentary Annual Benefit

To commemorate our 30th anniversary, American Documentary (AmDoc) will host our inaugural benefit fundraiser on Tuesday, September 26 at Liberty Hall at Ace Hotel New York. This exclusive event will bring together high profile filmmakers, philanthropists, and film lovers in one of the city’s hippest venues for a party to celebrate independent documentary and public media.

POV (a cinema term for "point of view") is television's longest-running showcase for independent nonfiction films. POV films are known for their timeliness, intimacy, and their unforgettable storytelling. Since 1988, POV has presented over 400 films to public television audiences across the country: on-air, online and in community venues.
