Become a sustaining donor

Cover the ongoing cost of supporting a young entrepreneur with a recurring donation of $100 per month.

A 501(c)3 not-for-profit, Youth Business USA (YBUSA) is a business accelerator that helps underserved young adult entrepreneurs build their small businesses.

Over 11 million low-income young adults across the country say they want to start a business, but lack the support and resources they need to do so. YBUSA's mission is to prepare, launch and grow highly motivated young entrepreneurs who face barriers to business ownership. We do this through our "Pathway to Business Ownership" training, interest-free loans up to $10,000, and a network of experienced, volunteer business mentors and subject-matter experts.

We know that talent is distributed equally - but opportunity isn't.

Our support levels the playing field for entrepreneurs ages 18 to 29, helping them create local businesses, jobs and new sources of income for themselves and their families while learning highly relevant business skills.

Our vision is that these young adult-led enterprises become a national model for job creation, equitable development and economic empowerment.

Youth Business USA is a founder of the Oakland's Emerging 100 initiative to identify, support and grow 100 underrepresented young entrepreneurs in Oakland. We're also developing a technology platform so that we can support entrepreneurs across the country.

Our key partners are Accenture, Kaimas Foundation, Youth Business International, Kiva, Youth Impact Hub Oakland, and the Peralta Community Colleges. Youth Business USA is an independent, accredited member of the YBI network, the leading global youth entrepreneurship network launching 22,000 underserved young entrepreneurs and training over 100,000 each year in 46 countries.

We're helping turn job seekers into job creators that build our local communities and economies.
