OUR MISSION: Zilker Theatre Productions, a 501(c)3 non-profit, strives to provide the entire community access to exceptional performing arts experiences.
The Zilker Summer Musical is one of the of the longest continuously-running, outdoor musical theater events in the United States today, celebrating our 58th year in 2016. The Zilker Summer Musical has always been admission-free and attracts 40,000+ people each summer from a broad socio-economic and demographic range. We need YOU to help us continue to produce this treasured Austin tradition!
While donations from the hillside audience members are routinely generous, most production costs must be paid upfront, prior to the curtain rising. Costs include paying fair wages to the artists, musicians, technical and design crews as well as the small ZTP staff that works year-round to produce the Zilker Summer Musical and accompanying programs, like our educational pre-show programming and our free audition workshops.
