4word: Seattle October Gathering

As working women we take on a lot of responsibility at work and at home.  We make lists to be sure we get everything done, and delight in being able to check tasks off those lists (especially those of us who are “Type A”).  We feel a sense of accomplishment when the many balls we’re juggling stay up in the air, but sometimes that hyper focusing causes our priorities to get out of whack.  Then something significant or tragic occurs in our lives and we feel overwhelmed and ill-equipped.  Perhaps we’re shaken by a car accident, experience the loss of a loved one, or learn of a serious health issue.  Quickly we are jolted into getting our priorities in line.  The Bible tells us when we love God first, our priorities will fall into place – and what a comforting place that is!  What a blessing it is to have such a forgiving God who patiently waits for us to turn our focus back to Him.
