Before the Covid-19 Pandemic, drowning was already the #1 killer of children under age 5 and the #2 killer of children under the age of 14. Over the last few months, swim schools across the country were forced to close their doors. Simultaneously, warm weather arrived, parents are juggling working from home without full-time childcare, and drowning rates are skyrocketing. To put things into perspective, 18 states have seen dramatic increases in their drowning rates in 2020.
Hope Floats has been working hard on a plan to save children’s lives and WE NEED YOUR HELP. Please consider a donation to the Hope Floats Covid-19 Scholarship Relief Fund. Together, we can boost the number of scholarships available for local families in need and SAVE CHILDREN’S LIVES.
Our generous partners at Jackrabbit Swim have committed a $5,000 Match to the campaign. ALL gifts will be matched $1 for $1 up to $5,000 to provide double the lifesaving SwIMPACT. Studies show that swim lessons reduce the risk of drowning by 88%!
Let's Swim It Forward.
