We Help Organizations Thrive

Open Insulin – Oakland, CA

Open Insulin Foundation is an organization that aims to create an open-source insulin production method, utilizing community labs for research and development, with the ultimate goal of organizing a cooperative of facilities following GMP guidelines and that are FDA approved to roll out insulin production. OIF’s first campaign on CommitChange sought to raise $10,000 for a new round of experimentation, and they cleared that bar. Since September of 2020, OIF has raised nearly $90,000 for its effort to democratize the production and distribution of insulin

Native Justice Coalition – Manistee, MI

The Native Justice Coalition is a platform for healing, social, and racial justice for all Native American people. Their goal is to provide a safe and nurturing platform for Native people based in an anti-oppression framework. In 2021 they wrapped up a successful campaign to raise money to install billboards in the Great Lakes region, bringing attention to the ongoing violence and continued genocide that affects Native women, girls, and Two-Spirits, raising more than their $10,000 goal.

Warrior Foundation: Freedom Station – San Diego, CA

Over the years, the Warrior Foundation: Freedom Station has developed an annual, multimedia give-a-thon that spans multiple radio and television stations. Warrior Foundation is an organization committed to providing injured service members with quality-of-life items, support services, and transitional housing designed to assist them and their families during recovery. Their give-a-thon in 2021 raised more than $2 million to “send heroes home for the holidays.”

“Warrior Foundation Freedom Station is proud to have been one of the very first nonprofit organizations to use the CommitChange fundraising platform, and years later, we could not be more thrilled with our choice. CommitChange has been a true partner – the customer service is superb and personalized, with knowledgeable and incredibly responsive staff.” – Sandy Moul, Director of Communications and Development

CityNEWS

CITY News is Rochester’s monthly news, arts, and life publication, and has been in print since 1971. When they came to CommitChange at the beginning of 2020, they’d seen other news companies move to online donations and knew it was an inevitable next step. But once the pandemic hit, they quickly realized they’d need to move more quickly than anticipated. CITY News’ experiment in online fundraising has been a success, going from 0 to over 750 engaged online donors and raising over $50,000 so far, with the information easily accessible all in one place.

“Just getting up and running with a donor platform was our biggest concern and CommitChange helped us roll out in an expedited fashion when the pandemic began. We’ve raised $50k with pretty minimal effort.” – Ryan Williamson, Creative Director
